Copenhagen’s Kødbyen
I meant to mention, for all those Michael Booth completists out there, that I had a piece in the Guardian the other day about Kødbyen, Copenhagen's meat packing district.
It's a really interesting, 'upcoming' culture and nightlife zone, with a unique character. It's still very much an important area for catering supplies for Denmark, with butchers, wholesalers and fishmongers, but in recent years its stark '30s buildings have been opened up to art galleries, bars, restaurants and clubs in a New York sytlee.
Here's the piece.
